Kalí Greek Kitchen
founder Caglar V. · Palo Alto
all organic greek, a Stanford U. staple on hipster Cali Ave by founder Caglar V.
the founder story
Farm-to-counter Greek from founder Caglar Vural, the restaurateur behind Palo Alto's Cafe Brioche. Caglar opened Kalí on California Avenue in 2017 with a simple idea: bring the rotisserie and grill of a Greek taverna to Silicon Valley using California's best sourcing, including Mary's free-range chicken, Niman Ranch beef and Superior Farms lamb. A short ride from Stanford, Kalí became a campus and tech-office staple for chicken and beef souvlaki, grilled vegetable and tofu skewers, crispy zucchini fritters with tzatziki, potato croquettes, hummus, whipped feta and warm pita. Bright, fresh and easy to share family style, Kalí's Mediterranean spread keeps teams energized from the lunch meeting to the evening happy hour.
