An iconic, deeply historic destination for regional Mexican cuisine founded by matriarch Maria Bustamante in 1958 and beautifully carried forward by the Corlay family. Born from humble beginnings when Maria started crafting handmade burritos straight out of her living room, Estrellita holds the proud title of being the oldest restaurant in Los Altos, serving the Peninsula for nearly seven decades. Rooted in the unique culinary heritage of the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, their scratch-made menu centers on exceptional homemade cooking, slow-simmered regional moles, and multi-generational family recipes. Combining a legendary history of neighborhood hospitality with pristine, high-integrity ingredients, this local landmark delivers an authentic, deeply satisfying feast intentionally curated to spark creative focus and sustain long-term stamina for elite Silicon Valley corporate teams.
